About UsWe are Kate & Anna; our main claim to fame together is that we cycled around Lake Taupo in 2012. We took almost eight hours to do it, but we made it!
Our adventures to get to race day were the most memorable part of the whole endeavour. Firstly, I nearly cycled Kate into the Waitemata Harbour, then Kate fell off the road into dense bush in the hilly Waitakare ranges (surviving thanks to a well-placed tree; her bike did NOT survive however) and finally I came off her bike after riding over a small crack a week before the race mangling my hand making it hard to put my brakes on. We are not sure what our next challenge will be. Swimming across the sea? A business? Or just getting through the week unscathed? |

Other interesting things about us. We have a collective vision to do something with a bit of creativity and community at its heart. We don't know what it will be yet but bear with us as we chronicle the adventures.

Our Story
We first met at Plunket coffee group in Mt Albert (Auckland, NZ) in 2010. I had just had my first children (twins) and Kate her second child. Kate has two children, and I have crammed four into five years.
We live five minutes apart, we've cycled together, we worked for the same company in FMCG Sales/Marketing (sadly Kate left this year for greener pastures!) and sometimes we do 30 minute spin classes together on a Monday night. When life permits.
Like many mums, we are always working out how to balance work and home and all of the things we want to do in this life. Sometimes it seems easy, sometimes really really tough. But always we get through it with a little help from our friends.
